Experience
I graduated from Fordham University and Loyola. I received my B.A. in both History and in Spanish from Loyola and my master's degree in Medieval Studies from Fordham. I also have focuses in Islamic Studies and History. Upon completion of my master's, I traveled to Spain as an English assistant and worked in the city of Madrid at a bilingual high school. It was there that I led classrooms in a variety of different subjects. My tutoring experience goes back to when I attended Loyola. At Loyola, I tutored my peers in both History and Spanish. I also tutored many students in the English language while I was abroad in Spain. While I love teaching a variety of subjects, I would have to say that I do have the most passion for History and Spanish. I find these two subjects to be the most interesting for both my students and myself. As for my tutoring style, I believe that students will remain positive and determined as long as they are improving on a frequent basis. I do not believe in lecture based tutoring. Instead, I am open for discussion and talking with my students about what they have learned and any questions they may have. When I am not tutoring, I enjoy a variety of sports. I also love to travel, which I do when time permits. Each country has different experiences and cultures to enjoy and encounter. I believe that the time I have spent traveling has made me well-rounded and diverse.
